Storm Door FAQs:

What is a Storm Door?

At Home Mobile Screening’s Swinging Screen Doors are top of the line extruded aluminum frames with metal hinges and professional grade screen/glass. A storm door is installed on a properties exterior door to protect it from bad weather and allow ventilation. Our storm doors have interchangeable glass panels and window screen panels to provide visibility and help prevent pests from entering the home.  They swing on hinges with a heavy-duty pneumatic door closer for easy use and reliability.  Our doors include a metal, easy to use handles and lock which is far superior to the majority of products in the market.  Our doors are easily maintained and long lasting since the components are metal and not plastic.

What is the difference between a Storm Door and a Screen Door?

A Screen Door is completely screened over allowing maximum air flow into the property.  A storm door has a glass window that can be removed from the door to allow airflow through a screen in the glass compartment.  This allows someone to keep the glass in their storm door but open the property door and allow additional light in the house or remove the glass and allow airflow without pests entering.  A fully screened door can not allow light into the house without letting in the other elements like the glass portion of a storm door.

Are Storm Doors necessary?
